Brian’s fresh baked focaccia ready to go for the Chesterton European Market! People keep telling us we should sell this all by itself!

5:30 am sunrise over Sand Creek Drive near Zing, very early start to the day!

Packing everything to take to Downtown Chesterton:

Menu of items we are selling at the Market, hanging nicely:

Delicious panini prepared for a customer, made with fresh focaccia and fresh mozzarella, served with kettle chips:

Awesome employee Alex sporting our new Zing t-shirt, manning the booth. It was raining at this moment, but the sun soon came out along with the crowds.

Fresh mozzarella ready to go. Also ready are the fresh pestos we make every day at Zing. The green is a traditional basil pesto. The other is a Roasted Tomato Pesto that Brian created from scratch to use on a few of our menu items. The Tomato Pesto is used on the Shrimp Pizza (not sold at the market), and the Tuscan Turkey Panini (served at the market!). Many folks have told Brian he should sell the Tomato Pesto all by itself at the store or online.

Samples of the Buffalo Chicken Salad on the fresh flatbread, and the Basil Pesto on the fresh focaccia. Samples went quick. However, people thought we were selling bread and pesto, not lunch, because other vendors that provide samples are usually selling bread or sauces. Hmmm… have to think about this a bit…

Colton joined us at the market after his Duneland Soccer game, and helped Daddy hand out menus for the Zing restaurant location.

We’ve done three market days so far. The first was a bit overwhelming, but now that we’ve been through the routine, it’s fun!
We at Zing love the Chesterton European Market and being an active part of the Chesterton and Duneland community.
For anyone visiting the area, please stop by the market and see if we are there that day please say hi!. If you tell us you saw this post we’ll give you a free can of pop (you may need to say the owner Rebecca said so)!
